About the Ministry of Science and Innovation
Plant genomics research is in Spain divided over different programmes and initiatives. Projects are evaluated and funded following annual calls for proposals. The initiative "Strategic Action on Genomics and Proteomics" comprises a budget for the period 2002-2006 of € 24 million. About 25% of this budget is allocated to plant genomics.
