Aim
The first inventory aims to give an overview of the national plant genomics programmes in Europe.

Approach
A questionnaire was sent to all ERA-PG partners at the start of the project. In June 2005 the data was last updated.

Topics
The questionnaire asks for information about the programme duration, budget, owner, source of the budget, participating organisations, links to other programmes, general goals, involvement of companies, number of projects and number of researchers. Furthermore, it asks about the programme structure, the crops and model organisms and the biological topics under study, the technologies that are used and resources that are used or built, education, training and societal aspects, valorisation strategy, and commercial activities. The last part asks about future directions and anticipated opportunities and constraints.
