About BMBF
BMBF has funded the research programme Genomanalyse im Biologischen System Planze GABI (annual budget €10 million) since 1999. GABI started bilateral cooperations with the French plant genomics programme Génoplante in 2002 and a trilateral programme with Spain in 2003. The experiences of this French-German-Spanish cooperation will be brought into the network and should lay the basis for future multilateral plant genomics programmes.
